Sustainability regulations are on the rise, all in an effort to manage capital flows towards sustainable investments, but the question remains, are these regulations succeeding? For example, data suggests that article 9 funds, as defined by SFDR, aren't as sustainable as they claim. In this webinar, we will examine the effects of SFDR and specifically Article 9 funds to understand how successful regulation has been in reducing greenwashing. To do this, we will cover the following:
Review the requirements of SFDR to understand how it is meant to prevent greenwashing by defining “sustainable investment”
Focus on Article 9 funds in an attempt to critically review whether they are delivering on their promise of investing sustainably
Examine available data that can be used to assess sustainable investments, including non-reported data
Explain how technology can be leveraged to conduct the detailed analysis necessary to vet investments and understand how they are deemed “sustainable”
