The winners of the 2025 Environmental Finance Sustainable Debt Awards have been announced.
In its 10th year, the awards celebrate the leading green, social, sustainability and sustainability-linked (GSSS) bond and loan deals in 2024 and recognise significant market participants.
An independent panel of experts chose winners in around 80 categories based on information relating to the period between 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024.
Among this year's notable winners were:
- Berlin Hyp funding and investor relations head Bodo Winkler-Viti, who secured this year's Personality of the year, with judges describing him as a "true pioneer" in sustainable debt markets.
- GAM Sustainable Climate Bond Fund, managed by Atlanticomnium, was named as Green bond fund of the year.
- S&P Global Ratings was named as External assessment provider of the year.
- Mizuho named as a winner in three lead categories, including: Lead manager of the year, green bonds – local authority/municipality, Lead manager of the year, social bonds - corporate and Lead manager of the year, transition bonds.
- Dow Chemical Company and DP World for corporate green bond awards in their respective regions.
Multiple awards for BNP Paribas, Citi, HSBC and NatWest among others.
