The awards honour investors and other players in the market who have been leaders in the field of sustainable finance.
The winners were selected across nearly 70 categories by a panel of independent judges, made up of industry experts.
Some of the biggest winners were:
- Actis, a global investor in sustainable infrastructure, which won three awards this year for its innovative work in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Actis' partner and head of energy infrastructure, Lucy Heintz, also won Investment leader of the year.
- Double award winners this year include MSCI, Moody's, Gresham House, NESsT, Nordea Asset Management, London Stock Exchange/FTSE Russell and Planet Tracker.
- Personality of the year was awarded to David Brand, chief executive officer of New Forests. Since founding the firm in 2005 it has since grown to be one of the world's largest timberland asset managers. New Forests also won Boutique investment manager of the year, Asia.
