A second wave of winners has been announced in Environmental Finance's inaugural Green Bond Awards.
Four further gongs were awarded today in the following categories:
- A special award for innovation (use of proceeds) was given to Schneider Electric for issuing the first bond whose proceeds are dedicated to research and development projects.
- A special award for innovation (structure) was given to India's Yes Bank and the IFC for issuing the first green 'Masala' bond, listed on the London Stock Exchange.
- An award for Market Initiative of the Year went to The Harmonised Framework for Impact Reporting, the launch of which was exclusively revealed by Environmental Finance last year.
- Sean Kidney, CEO of the Climate Bonds Initiative, was named Personality of the Year. His achievements include for his tireless work promoting green bonds, particularly in emerging markets, and for making progress in developing standards.
The latest announcement follows the first wave of winners, yesterday.
