Market-leading brokers, dealers and service providers were celebrating today after being voted winners in Environmental Finance's 16th Annual Market Rankings.
With over 600 votes cast, this year has seen some familiar names dominate the highly regarded awards, as well as some new names recognised on the winners' board.

The Rankings are the largest and most closely watched poll of sentiment across the carbon, renewable energy certificates, weather risk and catastrophe risk markets.
The winners are selected by votes from clients and other market participants, who judge that they had provided the best service over the past 12 months.
"There is bullish sentiment across many of the markets we cover in our Rankings, which is pleasing because some of the markets have weathered some very tough times in recent years," said Environmental Finance editor Peter Cripps. "In fact, many participants are hopeful that markets are now ready to take-off, boosted by strong policy signals such as COP21 and Obama's Clean Power Plan."
Some of the winners are firms that have dominated the Market Rankings for years. Rankings stalwart Baker & McKenzie, for example, won best law firm in eight categories. Evolution Markets bagged five gongs, and Redshaw Advisors scooped four awards, including best advisory firm for the EU Emissions Trading System.
In the US Renewable Energy Certificates market, Evolution Markets and Karbone kept their spots as best broker and best advisory, respectively. California-based 3Degrees won its first award, with best trading company, beating last year's winner Vitol into second place.
Endurance Global Weather had another strong showing this year, securing five awards – one better than last year. Tullett Prebon also improved its haul, with three awards.
The other winners include: AIR Worldwide, Blue Source, Climate Connect, ICIS, CQ Partners, DNV GL, Element Markets, Enegia Group, EPIC Sustainability Services, ICE Futures Europe, Kanaka Management Services, Nephila, Reed Smith, Risk Solutions International, Ruby Canyon Engineering, Speedwell, TFS Australia, Vitol and Willis.
