IOSCO chair Ashley Ian Alder and SEC commissioner Allison Herren Lee have been confirmed as keynote speakers at Environmental Finance’s The Future of ESG Data conference.
Alder, who is CEO of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong as well as chair of the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), will deliver an address about IOSCO’s recent reports looking at sustainability issues, and the IFRS initiative to establish its Sustainability Standards Board.
Herren Lee will talk about how the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is tackling sustainability issues, including its recent consultation into how it should change its guidance on climate reporting.
Regulators, policymakers and standard setters are increasingly turning their gaze on the ESG data industry, as ESG becomes an ever more important part of the financial system. These actors therefore play an important role in this year’s The Future of ESG Data conference.
