Three G10 governments 'mulling climate-linked bonds'
03 December 2009Governments of at least three of the world's 10 largest economies are actively discussing issuing 'index-linked climate bonds', according to the think-tank that has pioneered the concept. And a number of sub-national bond issuers are also considering launching bonds whose returns are linked to policies to tackle greenhouse gas emissions, said Michael Mainelli, director of the Z/Yen Group.
