Initiative Climat International (iCI) has launched the Asia-Pacific branch of its knowledge sharing platform.
The initiative, which launched in North America earlier this year, brings together regional investors to discuss climate-change related risks. It exists to share best practice and standardise processes on climate risk mapping, disclosures and target setting.
It said members will also work to reduce the carbon emissions of private companies.
Jie Gong, partner and co-head of private markets investor Pantheon’s ESG committee, will chair the iCI. Her Pantheon colleague Eimear Palmer, global head of ESG at the firm, will also support the Asia-Pacific branch.
iCI now has 206 members with $3 trillion in combined assets. Among the 20 Asia Pacific members joining the new division are NIO Capital, Adamantem Capital, Flexstone Asia and ICG Asia.
