Brief description of the data offering

SIGWATCH's quantitative and qualitative data captures the campaigning impact of over ten thousand of the world’s most influential NGOs and social impact groups on every industry sector, and several tens of thousands of listed and private corporate entities across all significant economies. We record corporates and industries targeted, and provide a reputational impact score to measure praise and criticism. The data, both current and historical to January 2011, can be accessed through a range of analytical tools on our online platform, or supplied as FTP files directly or through Snowflake, or via an API.

SIGWATCH data is used by financial services businesses and institutional investors and ESG aggregators, multinational manufacturing and service businesses and trading companies in almost every major economy. Our data and consultative services have helped firms across the world in horizon scanning, stakeholder engagement, supply chain due diligence and risk management, in particularly, identifying upcoming material and reputational risks and giving early warning of issues that may lead to regulatory action or legislation.

Where and how do you source your data?

SIGWATCH data is derived almost entirely from open access sources operated by the NGOs and social impact groups themselves. This ensures accurate capture of NGO perspectives and the earliest possible signals, since we are not relying on third parties to reproduce or report such activity. We also scan sources in every major world language.

What is the cost for your data offering?

From $30,000 per year, including daily live updates plus historic data back to 2011, delivered via FTP, API or Snowflake. Regularly updated time-weighted NGO praise and criticism scores for corporate entities, broken out by ESG category and sub-issues, are also available.
