Brief description of the data offering
We support asset managers, asset owners, hedge funds, insurers and banks in identifying and quantifying ESG- and climate-related investment risks and opportunities, enabling them to maximize portfolio returns and minimize downside exposures.
Our Global Risk Analytics Dataset delivers scores on 170+ ESG, climate and political risk issues across 198 countries, 150+ commodities and 74 industries, as well as unique forward-looking projections for key ESG metrics. We also offer proprietary sovereign ESG ratings.
Through our Geospatial ESG Solutions, we support our clients with incorporating these factors into their investment processes across multiple asset classes, including sovereign debt, listed equities and corporate fixed income, real assets, commodities and private equity, as well as multi-asset strategies.
Where and how do you source your data?
Our data is built on 1200+ indicators, drawing from a wide range of geospatial, satellite, unstructured, expert-scored and structured sources. Publicly available data make up only a small minority of these.
We use a wide range of data collection, aggregation, simulation and forecasting methods, including machine learning, NLP, Monte Carlo, GIS and expert-driven research, depending on the issue being assessed.
As standard our customers have full access to both transformed and raw indicator data, as well as the methodology and sources underpinning every dataset they can access. We give our clients the ability to dig beneath the headline numbers to fully understand the factors relevant to them and how they can best incorporate these into their strategies.
