·         Holistic insight into corporate risk. The E&S Raw Data set offers a 360° view of company disclosures and corporate risk profile based on three decades of expertise across the E and S domains.

·         Flexibility. Rather than a set of pre-defined deliverables, E&S Raw Data offers clients the flexibility to decide what is material and focus on the areas that matter.

Unique data sets within the raw data offering include:

Director Data

·         By examining the director profile for key experiences, you can determine if directors possess the necessary qualifications for a given company to uncover potential risks and opportunities in your portfolio.

Executive Compensation

Most recent significant update:

Q2 2023

·         Environmental and Social Raw Data solution launch

ISS ESG launched Environmental and Social Raw Data solution, including more than 1,400 data factors. The solution offers a comprehensive set of environmental, social, and governance data points with no additional assessment or scoring overlay, enabling clients to extract and act on the insights most relevant to them.

Planned future enhancements:

ISS STOXX will continue investing into widening and deepening the raw data sets and making the data available via multiple channels for all use cases from front- to middle- and back-office applications.

What trends are you seeing in terms of customer demand?

The trend of increasing interest for raw ESG data stems from two developments: Some investors want to take ratings and scores apart to understand drivers but also to create unique methodologies, others are shifting away from catch-all ESG scores and ratings and take a more selective approach focusing on specific themes, such as modern slavery, cyber security, physical risks, director compensation, sanctions, etc. The ISS ESG raw data offering allows clients here to pick topics that are seen as material to investments also by investors without an explicit ESG commitment.
