Brief description of the data offering

Amalthea provides a comprehensive data marketplace for financial institutions (FIs) to search and build their unique access points of sustainability data for climate transition, regulatory, and risk reports. Our approach leverages a combination of direct sources and third-party data to gather accurate and reliable information.

  • Seamless Integration: Access data through a centralized hub in a standardised format.
  • Inventory Comparison: Compare data from various sources within the same framework.
  • Coverage Evaluation: Assess book coverage with diverse data sources and search for any type of data via a granular data dictionary (emissions, biodiversity, transition & physical risk, taxonomy, etc.).
  • Advanced Analytics: Benchmark portfolios based on sector or country and perform what-if analyses.
  • Data Scoring: Access collective feedback on data quality.
  • Risk: Conduct climate stress-tests.
  • Advanced Technologies: Use advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to aggregate and harmonise data.

Where and how do you source your data?

Amalthea sources data globally from all major, specialised, and local providers with access via REST APIs. We reference all data providers that financial institutions may need to complete their portfolio data coverage, considering data type (taxonomy, Scope 1, 2, 3, temperature alignment, rating, localisation, etc.), geography, and sector. Our coverage is truly global.

We act as a technological intermediary for financial players, allowing them to contract directly with data providers and then build and enrich their own data sets. Additionally, we are developing a hub for SMEs to collect market and estimate data for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Our approach includes data collected directly from companies via surveys and automated data capture tools, ensuring granularity and precision. We also utilise proxy data provided by market leaders, adding a layer of verified and high-quality data.

We employ advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and web scraping, to aggregate and harmonise data from various publications, sustainability reports, and regulatory documents.
