Where and how do you source your data?

RepuTex is the leading provider of price information for the Australian environmental markets with a focus on the carbon market. Our mission is to produce impartial, trusted pricing benchmarks administered by on-the-ground market experts. Our impartiality has underpinned our market analysis for over a decade. We do not have a vested interest in the markets on which we report.

As a local expert, our on-the-ground experience supports our price assessment process. We understand the market, the key participants, and the finer nuances of trading activity. This means the information we collect is appropriately considered, ensuring the utmost accuracy and representativeness of our reported prices. Our price assessment team collects input market data from sell-side and buy-side participants, along with intermediaries. This information is considered in addition to market data and heard activity from brokers and electronic trading platforms, enabling our assessors to consider the widest universe of information across the OTC market.

When modelling the ACCU market, we use our Australian Energy and Emissions Market (A-EEM) model. A-EEM consists of four inter-dependent modules:
1 Compliance demand
2 Voluntary demand
3 Supply
4 Pricing
Each of the above is composed of multiple sub-models.
Holistic modelling is critical to accurately simulate price & market development.

Our models allow for full customization and parameterisation.
