Brief description of the data offering

With the SIX EU ESG Manufacturer data package, clients can rely on complete, clean, enriched and high-quality data to fulfil the requirements under the EU Taxonomy and SFDR, as well as MiFID and IDD regulations. This package contains data on financial products such as funds and structured products, sourced through the European ESG Template (EET), addressing the need for a unified data package that caters to multiple regulatory requirements. Additionally, this dataset is complemented by a flagging of products based on MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive) sustainability preferences. This flag is provided by SIX to differentiate financial products by their degree of inclusion of sustainability aspects, thereby helping users to make informed choices and match clients’ sustainability preferences with the appropriate financial products.

The dataset is used to:

  • Assess financial products with regards to their sustainability characteristics
  • Gain detailed information on products that are classified as Article 8 or Article 9 under SFDR as well as information on PAI (Principal Adverse Impact) indicators and EU Taxonomy alignment
  • Select suitable products in accordance with clients’ sustainability preferences (e.g. products referred to as categories a, b and c according to Article 2(7) of MiFID II Delegated Regulation)
  • Report ESG/sustainability performance at clients’ portfolio level.

Where and how do you source your data?

SIX leverages its connections to manufacturers of financial products to source the data directly.
