Brief description of the data offering
EU Taxonomy:
The EU Taxonomy solution is designed to support financial market participants in actively complying with the EU’s regulatory disclosure requirements. In addition, our solution enables financial market participants to use EU Taxonomy data for other investment purposes, including portfolio and fund construction, company screening and engagement. Our solution covers 12,000+ companies across 89 Taxonomy activities for Climate Change Mitigation and 96 for Climate Change Adaptation. We collect reported and estimated data across all three KPIs: revenues, capex and Opex. The research is updated on a monthly basis.
EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR):
PAI Data Solution is designed to support clients in meeting the regulatory disclosure requirements related to the Principle Adverse Impacts (PAIs) under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation. The solution covers 13,000 companies and is updated on a quarterly basis.
Where and how do you source your data?
EU SFDR PAIs: The data set has been created specifically to ensure compliance with the SFDR, with methodologies and calculations designed to match the regulation. Morningstar Sustainalytics has worked to identify a combination of data points that can be used to identify ‘sustainable investments.’
EU Taxonomy: Our EU Taxonomy Solution includes Taxonomy-specific data reported by companies and estimated eligibility and alignment assessments that are based on industry-leading estimation models. It has been constructed using our own cutting-edge Activity-Based Research (ABR), newly undertaken for this purpose, and leveraging our existing ESG expertise and product suite.
SFDR Collected Attributes: This data is collected from fund prospectuses and annual reports.
