Brief description of the data offering
ESG Book's Risk Score is a systematic assessment of exposures to critical sustainability topics for over 10,000 companies worldwide, based on the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the United Nation’s universal principles of corporate conduct.
The Risk Score enables clients to gain complete transparency of exposure drivers for each pillar and principle of the UNGC, from the score level down to underlying source data.
The score is powered by 200+ metrics from ESG Book’s proprietary data modules, with data-drill down functionalities that enable users to analyse underlying raw data.
Where and how do you source your data?
The underlying data points are collected from publicly available sources. Examples of data sources which we use include annual reports, sustainability reports, Greenhouse Gas assurance statements, and corporate websites. We also systematically integrate information from over 3,000 news and NGO sources across 170 countries.
