Brief description of the data offering

Metric enables ESG and impact reporting. The questionnaire is fully customizable and can align with third party standards, such as SFDR, EDCI, and UN SDGs. Common KPIs include GHG emissions, energy consumption, corporate diversity, employee headcount, gender pay gap, board structure, and corporate policy.

Metric has a GHG calculator that is purpose-built for high-growth companies and aligns with the GHG Protocol. Scope 1, Scope 2, and select Scope 3 emissions (business travel, employee commuting, and cloud storage) are included in the calculator. Metric also has a partnership with Greenly to do spend-based Scope 3 analysis.

Where and how do you source your data?

Metric sources data directly from portfolio companies and manages the end-to-end data collection process. Our team onboards portfolio companies, conducts the reminder process, and completes data validation post-deadline. The portfolio company response rate is 93%.

What is the cost for your data offering?

Standard subscriptions are $250 USD per portfolio company for annual measurement and platform access.
