Brief description of the data offering
GID includes metrics for a wide range of impact themes such as biodiversity, climate change, pollution, human rights, and more. It covers companies’ own operations, upstream and downstream value chain, without double counting, thanks to an innovative attribution approach in line with the Impact-Weighted Accounts Framework. Impact estimates are available both in quantitative and monetary units to facilitate the integration into corporate and investment KPIs. GID is applicable to multiple asset classes, and it covers the whole global economy. GID is aligned with existing initiatives and regulatory frameworks (e.g., TNFD, SFDR, CSRD). GID underlying methodology is part of a toolbox for impact reporting backed-up by experts in impact measurement and global institutions (e.g., Harvard Business School, Singapore Management University).
Where and how do you source your data?
The Global Impact Database is built on publicly available and purchased data sources. Data is sourced from leading academic institutions and private data suppliers. The main data sources used include company reported data, crop data, geospatial data, trade data, economic data, input-output models, environmental and social impact indicators and extensions, impact factors and monetisation factors. What is the cost for your data offering?
Data is available on an annual license fee basis; license fees start from €3.000. Fees depend on the amount of data purchased, the selected data module (e.g., Biodiversity, PAIs, asset-level data), and the size of the end user, with lower fees for smaller organisations.
