The London Stock Exchange Group's (LSEG) Sustainability Intelligence – winner of this year's ESG data initiative of the year award –brings together different tools designed to help organisations understand and disclose their data and take action to mitigate climate risk exposure, to reach their climate goals in a streamlined way.
It aims to assist financial institutions in measuring, managing and reporting their carbon emissions and exposure to climate and sustainability risks, including in their value chains.
Sustainability Intelligence looks to guide corporates through the creation of their climate reports in line with international and regional frameworks, to provide comprehensive carbon accounting tools and help identify emissions hotspots and opportunities for climate finance.
Targeting banks, stock exchanges and corporates, as clients, with scalable tools to streamline the climate and environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting process Sustainability Intelligence aims to increase transparency and the availability of material data to stakeholders, including capital providers. It brings together these connected stakeholders to act as a common language and framework, enabling transparency, accountability and collaboration.
Users of the system can:
- access automated supply chain analysis integrated with access to green finance;
- build and visualise a comprehensive view of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and identify top contributors in their value chain;
- see ESG metrics, which are aligned to global frameworks and standards, including GRI, ISSB and TCFD, and create compliant reports for submitting to regulators; and,
- see companies' carbon emissions hotspots and engage with suppliers who have the biggest impact on Scope 3 emissions.
"The launch of Sustainability Intelligence demonstrates our continued commitment to helping customers meet their ESG and climate data and disclosure needs whilst simultaneously providing transparency for investors, capital providers and the wider financial market," said Helena Fung, head of sustainable finance and investment, APAC at LSEG.
