Kirkland & Ellis has once again been awarded 'Law firm of the year' at Environmental Finance's IMPACT Awards.
In the past year, Kirkland & Ellis has continued to advise a range of clients on the launch of impact, energy transition, and climate-focused funds and strategies. It hosts workshops at ESG- and impact-focused events to prepare professionals with contract tools and knowledge to mitigate risks and achieve related goals.
The firm has continued to advise TPG on its $7.3 billion Rise Climate Fund, Bain Capital on Double Impact on its M&A transactions, and L Catterton on the development of its inaugural impact strategy.
With 22 dedicated attorneys, the practice also provided pro bono work for impact organisations, including the Global Impact Investing Network and the International Foundation for Valuing Impacts.
"We are honoured to be recognised as Environmental Finance's IMPACT 'Law firm of the year' for the second consecutive year. This award reflects the commitment and hard work of our ESG & Impact attorneys on behalf of a diverse range of clients who have trusted us to develop the legal architecture for their pioneering impact strategies," Alexandra Farmer, partner in Kirkland & Ellis's ESG & Impact practice, told Environmental Finance.
"We look forward to continuing to shape the market for impact and ESG legal advice in 2025."
