Swiss-based Chi Impact Capital describes itself as a female-founded impact investing advisory boutique.
The firm advises the Luxembourg-based impact venture fund, the 'Burning Issues Impact Fund' which invests in European mid/late venture and early growth stage impact tech firms that "provide scalable solutions for the most burning and pressing issues of our time", says Chi Impact Capital.
Sectors include food systems transformation, green innovation and climate tech solutions, smart cities and smart infrastructure, circular economy and 'conscious commerce' solutions.
Amongst the Burning Issues Impact Fund's portfolio companies are the Netherlands-based food technology company Mosa Meat, a cultured meat firm; Germany-based Vytal, which makes reusable food packaging; and Neoom Group from Austria, a clean-tech firm supporting the energy transition of households and companies through decentralised energy systems.
Judges praised the unique way Chi Impact Capital applied a deep impact approach including a “gender lens as well as a climate and multispecies lens” across their whole investment process.
