BNG issues €1bn social bond to finance housing associations
11 July 2016Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten (BNG), a Dutch public sector bank, has issued a €1 billion ($1.1 billion) bond to support the social housing sector in the Netherlands. It is believed to be the first social bond issued in line with the guidance on such issues in the recently revised Green Bond Principles.
