COP29: GFANZ backs call for regulators to define coal phaseout as transition finance

Governments and regulators could help investors by 'clarifying' that finance provided to accelerate the phaseout of coal plants counts as transition finance, according to the first report by the Coal Transition Commission (CTC) published at COP29.
